I’ll go first: I like it for many reasons, so I’ll highlight my favorites…….overall toning, upright posture, outdoor activity & it’s something I can do with others which has spouted some nice friendships along the way!

Question: What do you like most about Nordic Walking?
Rhea, what a great question you ask! And, you ask it perfectly, putting the emphasis on what people experience when they nordic walk. When I teach a class, I think that the most important question that I can ask at the end is simply, “What was it like to nordic walk today?”
One of the things I like most about nordic walking is hearing the responses of students to this question and feeling their enthusiasm. I also like group walks – seeing familiar faces and being with people who love to nordic walk. I like seeing other nordic walkers, whose movements always strike me as having grace and beauty. And, I like feeling the ground resist and push back strongly against my pole tips, feeling quick and powerful when I climb hills rather than slow and plodding (which is how I feel when I walk up hills without using nordic walking poles), and feeling after a walk how strongly the movements of nordic walking have involved the muscles of my back, chest, and core.
Rhea, thanks again for asking this question!

I love getting outdoors and walking with others and I like the extra workout from Nordic walking. It is fun! Being outside feels more like having fun than exercising.
